Our Projects

The John M Nelson Conservancy is seeking proposals from those persons/companies interested in leasing and operating our RV park beginning with January of 2024.

Located at 1801 Nelson Drive, Springville, Ca 9326, in the Sequoia National Forest, the park occupies 4.20 acres of land including fifteen, 30 amp pull through RV sites, bathroom and shower facilities for men and women, six tent sites, two cabins with full kitchens and baths that sleep six, stream, pond, wildlife, and recreation areas.

Please detail in your proposal:

  1. Your company profile including company ownership and tax structure, references, and licenses or permits
  2. Office operations and all contact information including phone numbers, emails, USPS
  3. Banking information for the business
  4. Website/social media management
  5. Online Reservation software
  6. Credit card processing
  7. 24/7 tenant relations
  8. Employee management
  9. Payroll system
  10. Marketing plan
  11. Maintenance/repairs
  12. Waste management
  13. Groundskeeping
  14. Accounting/reporting software
  15. Utility accounts for water/electric/internet services
  16. Liability Insurance
  17. Emergency and security concerns
  18. Proposed lease agreement i.e.: flat/percentage/gross/net; and term of agreement

 

Proposals will be received July 2023 through September 30, 2023.  The selection result will be finalized in the general meeting of the board on November 11, 2023. 

We are enlarging our community commitment to include a little more space for all our great mountain activities.  We are currently in escrow to purchase the adjoining lot next to the Conservancy garage.  Please lend your support with a donation to our non-profit.  It will be yours to enjoy for many years to come!

Nelson Falls RV Park, Cabins and Campground is open early this year, please encourage friends and family to visit.  Every reservation provides income to the John M. Nelson Conservancy and funds local community projects.

The Mountain Festival is a two-day event held in Camp Nelson California. Saturday, Aug 6, 2022, and Sunday, Aug 7, 2022 - There is entertainment for the entire family and admission is free.
The festival is held at the Camp Nelson Meadow in the Giant Sequoia National Monument. 

The Board meets on the second Saturday of the month, 8 a.m., in the Conservancy Museum. Requests and payments should be received before the next meeting for consideration.
